In 2015: More people have died by taking selfies than by shark attacks

Although people tend to be afraid of shark attacks, the fear is not entirely justified and it most likely a result of movies fiction than being a witness of one.  In fact, in 2015, there have been twelve recorded selfie deaths in comparison to eight people dying because of shark attacks. Most of the selfie-related deaths have been due to falling. The next most common is when people are trying to take a selfie, and they're hit by a moving vehicle. In order to get a good shoot people risk more and more. Everyone wants to have an unique picture.  Some are crossing the line and in exchange for likes are taking the whole selfie thing a little too far. In Russia selfie deaths have become so popular that the government even released a guide detailing how not to die while taking a picture of yourself.
For several years restaurants and coffee shops have been introducing new form of publicity. Every now and then they join forces with competition and organise an event to promote their businesses. This week (23-29.X.) everyone in Poznan can take part in Trick or treat action and feel the spirit of Halloween by tasting limited edition coffees and sweets specially made for this occasion. To whom it may interest: the list of all locals taking part in this event and menu can be found on facebook Not only descriptions of products sound to be tempting, but also prices:  - 6zl for a halloweeny coffee  - 7zl for a  dessert  -10zl for a set (coffee + dessert) I find this events interesting, cause they seem to be a great opportunity to discover new places in the city  👻

The little guy may have been named after former NBA player, Larry Bird, who played for Twitter co-founder Biz Stone’s home-state team, the Boston Celtics. Larry’s name was confirmed by Twitter in a tweet made in 2011. Moreover the social networking company’s former creative director, Doug Bowman, said in a 2012 announcement that Larry is resembling a mountain bluebird with a dash of hummingbird thrown in and that the Twitter bird has a beak and body that point toward the sky in what Bowman called “the ultimate representation of freedom, hope and limitless possibility.”
