Camerimage Festival

Every fall Bydgoszcz is inviting people from all around the world to take part in Camerimage Fetival that helps young filmmakers and integrates the community of those already recognized, allowing them to explore new artistic areas. Besides the Main Competition, the Festival also contains other events such as Student Etudes Competition, Documentary Films Competition, Music Videos Competition, Feature Debutes Competition, TV Pilots Competition, Polish Films Competition, Camerimage Market, Camerimage Forum, special screenings and premieres, various reviews, retrospectives, meetings and also accompanying events such as art exhibitions and music performances.

This year it would be the 25^th edition of festival and it will be held from 11th to 18^th November in Opera Nova. Everyone can take part in it by simply purchasing a ticket at a reception desk (on the day of screening) or by acquiring an Entry Card for chosen amount of time.

As a former volunteer of Camerimage Festival I entirely confirm that it’s an unforgettable experience to take part in it and feel an exceptional atmosphere that surrounds it.

Spoons of Victory

Do you remember the African Vuvuzelas from the 2010 World Cup? Well, Russia is no worse than RPA, they also have their special instrument for this occasion. 'Spoons of Victory': their shape resembles the letter 'V' like 'Victory' that they are about to achieve. The instrument was invented by Rustam Nugmanov and is supposed to help tapping the rhythm of the songs without causing as much rumour as Vuzuelas . The 'Spoons' are made entirely out of the wood and look more like a kitchen supplies than something that imitates the sound.
