Hi, guys! How's life? What have you been up to? If you by any chance found out how to be a productive person, please make sure to let me know, cause I'm still having difficulties with adopting to the fact that the academic year has officially begun.
I, personally, have spent most of my summer reading crime stories and I just must admit that there's one, in particular, I enjoyed. Have you ever heard the name A.J. Finn?
No? OK, so you have to change it, cause I can assure you, it'd be worth it.
The book is called The Woman in the window. Anna Fox, the main protagonist,  is a middle-aged woman, living on her own in the beautiful house in the suburbs. She spends most of her days drinking wine and watching people. Yes, she's literally spying on her neighbours. And there wouldn't be anything interesting about that, were it not for the discovery she's about to make. The key word in describing this book would be: the truth. While reading it, we have the impression that nothing really is what it's supposed to be. What is truth, who's lying, who we should trust? The author is building up the tension,  trying not to spill the secret till the very last page and the ultimate cliff-hanger. And that’s all I’m going to say, I won't spoiler no more. The book is for sure worth reading it. They even decided to adapt it and the movie is coming up in 2019.

In 2015: More people have died by taking selfies than by shark attacks

Although people tend to be afraid of shark attacks, the fear is not entirely justified and it most likely a result of movies fiction than being a witness of one.  In fact, in 2015, there have been twelve recorded selfie deaths in comparison to eight people dying because of shark attacks. Most of the selfie-related deaths have been due to falling. The next most common is when people are trying to take a selfie, and they're hit by a moving vehicle. In order to get a good shoot people risk more and more. Everyone wants to have an unique picture.  Some are crossing the line and in exchange for likes are taking the whole selfie thing a little too far. In Russia selfie deaths have become so popular that the government even released a guide detailing how not to die while taking a picture of yourself.

What will 2019 bring you?

Time flies so fast, we’re already in 2019! You’ re probably wondering what this year is going to bring. Is it going to be a good one? 2019, according to the Chinese zodiac is going to be a year of the Pig. Chinese zodiac system has over 2 000 years. It is composed out of 12 signs: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. Each sign has a different meaning and characteristics. Zodiac cycles repeats itself every 12 years. 2018 was a year of the Dog and so 2019 is going to be a year of the Pig. So what will happen in 2019? According to the most famous predictions 2019 is going to be a horrible year: robots killing civilians, flu pandemic, extreme weather conditions caused by global warming and many others.
