Rise & Grind


There’s another upcoming Coffee Festival in Poznań. This time the theme is ‘Felicita’ – happiness. The event is set up in order to encourage people to discover once unknown places in the city where you can purchase some superior quality coffees. It takes place quarterly and lasts one week. Like it happened in the past, this time as well festive coffees and deserts will be inspired by the theme. The list of places that take part in the Poznan Coffee Marathon will be published on it’s fb site. You can rate each coffeehouse by filling the online survey.
It starts the 22nd of October, don’t miss it!

Larry the bird

We all know what Twitter is and most of us either used or uses it. We all associate the little blue bird in the logo but does everyone know that it has a name? Cause it has and its name is Larry. The little guy may have been named after former NBA player, Larry Bird, who played for Twitter co-founder Biz Stone’s home-state team, the Boston Celtics. Larry’s name was confirmed by Twitter in a tweet made in 2011. Moreover the social networking company’s former creative director, Doug Bowman, said in a 2012 announcement that Larry is resembling a mountain bluebird with a dash of hummingbird thrown in and that the Twitter bird has a beak and body that point toward the sky in what Bowman called “the ultimate representation of freedom, hope and limitless possibility.”

How did fitness tracker help resolve murder investigation?

Lately, I came across an article about how fitness tracker helped resolving the murder investigation. Out of curiosity, I’ve decided to read it cause it appeared to be quite unusual. So, not to prolong: thing was happening in California. 67-years old woman was found in her house with wounds around her head and neck. Last person who saw her that day was her father, 80-years old Anthony Aiello. While asked about their meeting, he testified that they ate together and that they parted on good terms.
